Why is this boy acting so stupid?

I was at some family friends house, and their neighbor starts introducing himself, like he never met me. And then I remembered that we met 3 years ago, when I was in 3rd grade, and he was in fourth grade. We met at a day camp that I only went to on days off, and he only went once. He stared at me alot that day at camp, he put a note in my coat, and he said he wanted to se me at the park. The only problem was he never said which park. And then I told my friends about this guy. And then he starts telling them he goes to their church. And one of them said "I know who you are, and she never wants to see you agian." and he just looked confused from what I heard. Gap between tub surround and tub?

The previous homeowners seemed to DIY with the tub surround using a white caulk strip instead of caulk. The strip did not last very long and if you lean slightly on the tub surround it gives or (bends) into the wall. I am not sure if the surround needs to be re-fitted to the bathtub or if caulk will stabilize the surround. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Driving from Reno to South Lake Tahoe in January - Rental Car??

I lived in South Lake Tahoe and Carson City for 14 years. Now, I visit my mom there and rent cars when I go. The weather in January is precarious- you just don't know what you're going to get. But, driviing through the Washoe Valley between Reno and Tahoe can get really bad- white out conditions as well as terrible wind. An SUV is your best bet. They don't provide chains, but if chain enforcements are in effect, you have to buy them and have them put on- I can't imagine that they really say you can't use chains! If the signs are on for chains, there are police at both ends of the valley and they won't let you p without them. Anyway, it's not quite as bad as it all sounds- I'm sure you'll be fine! Most of the time, all season tires suffice and all cars there have those. Have a great time- it's a beautiful area.

My 2006 HP Home Computer crashed last night. I logged on as usual and then it shut off and started to restart by going to Windows XP start page, then HP Invent then a black page with options like "last known good configuration" and the F5 didn't work. Then back to start windows. it did this cycle for hours, even after we unplugged and restarted it twice. Then someone went to the PC Recovery or Restart page and we had to answer all these Q's like it was brand new computer. Then when i went on to my account, the little user picture that i had used before was still on there but my account was gone!! MY bookmarks, mcripts, WMP music, pictures are all gone, but that one picture in there was still on. Is there anyone to go back to my old account or get my stuff back??? Please help me!!

I've never flown before and will fly from Minneapolis to Tucson in a week. I'm leery to let any of my baggage out of my sight, but don't think I'll be able to fit enough clothes for three days into one single backpack. Outfit or Shoes, which to buy?!?

This happens to me a lot, too. I save up for things and have the hardest time trying to choose which things I want because I don't have enough for both. I would get the hoody and tank top because its getting cold and you might not even be wearing tom shoes as much as you would be wearing a hoody in the winter/fall. Plus, you would get more for the $60. You would get two things instead of 1. If I really needed the shoes(like I didn't have any of that type of shoe, or all my other shoes had holes in them) then I would get them but I already have shoes that I still like. Its really up to you but I think the hoodie and tank top are a better choice.

How do I get over the teen pregnancy problem at my school?

I'm going to a small school that can help with college. But it also has a teen parent program. Out of our three halls one and a half is dedicated to day care. I see teen parents every day all the time, along with their babies in cl. The dishonor of teen pregnancy is all around me and I am starting to subconsciously think pregnancy and children is a bad thing, considering how the poor kids are going to grow up. Any tips on improving my imrpov skills?

I've been playing the saxophone for 6, almost 7 years now. I play alto, tenor, and soprano mostly, and I am very dedicated to practicing almost every single day. Why is my zippo flame so big?

after refilling my zippo with the same fluid I've always used and trimming the wick, I noticed that the flame is now bigger than the lighter itself... which seems pretty dangerous. I use ronsonol fluid because the nearest store that sells the real fluid is a half hour away, but I never had this issue before. The wick is also trimmed to the height of the chimney, and I should probably note that this is the first time I've trimmed it.

I am a graduate student and only have this student loan to pay back when I am finished ($36,000). I was on a full track scholarship for my undergraduate degree. I was injured during my track days and really have a desire to compete again. However, while recovering from my injuries I gained 80lbs pushing my BMI to 55. I have no other dissorders besides being overweight. I have been trying to work out but lord, I am feeling the weight. I hate that my body won't do what my mind thinks it can and used to be able to do. I fear that I will not stop putting on the weight and hope to have children and a family one day. On a sidenote, my mother and sister have both had the surgery and my sister gained all of her weight back and then some. I am beginning to feel like I will never be normal. Playmobil is marketed at being suitable for 4+, and even then I personally would only get it for a mature 4 year old. I loved Playmobil when I was a child and played with it until I was about 12 (I think I only stopped playing with toys because I thought I was too old, not because I wanted to!) A lot of the sets I think are best for children over about 8 anyway. I mean, there is an Egyptian pyramid, and the Roman Colosseum, which are best for older children, when they are interested in, and understand, different periods in History. As for Fireman Sam, if he's interested in it, and you think he would play with it, then I would say go for it. When I was about 18 my dad bought me a Furby, and I was definitely over the recommended age! Lol. 10 years later and I still have it!

i bought a bcs 730 harvester tiller off of criagslist for $700,seller said he hardly used it,when we brought it home we did some late research and found out the tines were worn out to the max.bcs tiller needed clutch adjustment and it was ready to go,meanwhile we ordered new tines we gave the machine some testing,it worked pretty well for worn out tines.4 days later we installed new tines and we did some testing on soil that was already tilled with old tines.the bcs tiller jumps once it hits hard soil.also when the machine jumps and works too much the engine just shuts off.any idea on whats wrong with it?

The thing is, my mom bought a hot tub a couple of months ago and I have only been in it about 4 or 5 times, last time being last Sunday. About 2 weeks ago, my mom got these same bumps on her stomach around her waistline and thought it was shingles. i thought it might have something to do with the hot tub but she was getting in it every night. Anyway, she took Benedryl and it went away. Now I am getting it on my legs and hips. We haven't been using any different laundry detergent and people say it might be bed bugs but this has never happened to me before except when I had chicken pox as a child and I got them all over me not just in certain spots. I was wondering if anyone out there may have a hot tub that this has happened to before. By the way, the temp. is set on 102-104 F and we only stay in it for 30 minutes and I do take a shower when I get out.

When I bought the car it was over heating. The service engine light was on and cylinder 1 was miss fireing. I had did everything else so I put some block sealer in the coolent and it has ran hot or cut out since. So it was a head gasket but I'm wondering if the sealer might have clogged up the heater core. I live In upstate ny and the temperature here is COLD! Around 15-20 degrees. I don't go outside unless i need to. I have a elliptical that I run on 15 minutes a day. I am eating the same food that I have always eating but since its winter I don't burn it off like a normally would. I am 5'9 and in the spring, fall, summer time of year I weigh 140. In winter I weight 150. My diet is mainly meat, corn, boxed food like mac n cheese, and I do eat sugary foods. I walk my dog almost every day but when I do its no more then 20 mins. Credit card debt already in collections...?

I have about $5000 in credit card debt; it's been about 8 mths since I paid any on them. I was out of work due to an auto accident. I want to pay them so consolidation or bankruptcy is not an option for me. I just can't afford much. $50 extra a mth is all I can afford right now, but I don't know how to do this because I have 4 different credit cards & $50 doesn't split well. The agencies say they can't settle for less than $100 on each card....well I just can't do that as I am just now getting back to work.My question is this:since it's been so long since I paid on them anyways & they are already in collections do you think this woud be a good idea & if not then what would you suggest. Where are the best places to park a motorcycle in LA (sidewalk parking)?

I live in LA and just bought a Yamaha R6, and I was wondering where the best places would be to park it. I've been doing some research, and from what i've gathered, it's illegal to park on sidewalks, but people do it all the time and usually as long as it's not blocking anybody you can do it for a short period of time without any hle? I see motorcycles parked by bike racks or near store entrances out of the way. Is this usually acceptable? Also, if I have to park in the lot, should I only park if I can get an end spot where i'm visible to other cars? I know that some cars just plow into a spot that they think is empty without any regard. As far as parking on the street, I know to park at an angle with my back wheel against the curb to make myself more visible. My main question is if it is acceptable (and if I will get ticketed) for parking my bike on a sidewalk if it is out of the way of pedestrians. Also, considering the fact that it's a sportbike and appealing to those thieves out there, I bought a kryptonite lock/chain and a disc lock. Should these be adequate deterrents? Thanks.

Word Count Question: WTF?

So, I usually read up on blogs and sites about the word count of novels. There are a lot of people who pretty much don't know what the hell they are talking about. They may know a person in the publishing business, then write a stern, smart blog trying to strut their stuff. I was just recently reading one where it says that Microsoft Word can be errorneous with the word count by about 20000 words depending on spacing and font. Um... excuse me, but one word in Word is going to be counted on the bottom right corner as 1 word. I'm currently writing in Times New Roman; sometimes I double space the entire thing, sometimes I leave it single spaced because I prefer the look (I know, it's neurotic, but bare with me); I'll be editing it double spaced of course. So apparently Times New Roman tells a person their word count is 20000 words above what it really is and that to change the font size to 12, make it courier new and double space it will give a person the correct word count. Well, I tried this and there is no difference in the word count. I am currently at 59000 words and expecting the novel to come out around 75000- 80000 once I am done with it. Please, someone who knows what they are talking about, preferrably someone who is in the publishing business or has been published. If this strange thing is true, can someone give me a calculation to find out my actual word count: say my novel is size 11 font, Times New Roman, single spaced, justified. Thanks.

I feel so terribly sad for Haiti..can't go on with my daily life?

My guinea will run about, eat, play, wheek but she's been "sneezing" a lot. I got her 2 days ago and she used carefresh at the store, but I have a feeling it might have something to do with her bedding, she didn't make this noise the first day I had her. Spawning Largemouth B?

I live in the midwest and we've had a pretty good warm stretch. The water temps are nearing 60 degrees if they're not all ready there. Now I'm a pretty experienced fisherman but I usually do most of my fishing in the summer months. I'm not all to confident in my knowledge of spawning b. Lately I've been observing the fish (b) meandering about the shallow moss beds and It's obvious the spawn has begun. I'm just curious as to techniques used in catching these guys... What lure types trigger the best? Any tips about spawning b will help. Thanks.

The Sims 2 Stuff packs...worth it?

well i guess i would have to say that H&M fashion stuff is worth it if you do not download custom content because with this stuff pack it gives you ALOT of clothes and if you own the open for business expansion it comes with items that you can use to build a clothing store. but really honestly i dont think any of them have been worth it because you just don't get that much great stuff, the only one that was REALLY worth it is the Holidays Stuff pack that was the best one, but if you throw alot of parties for your sims than Celebration stuff is worth it because you do get lots of nice party items....Glamour life IMO was not worth it at all i dont think i have used any of the items that came with it. I can't say exactly where it is, but it's through some gr that only a chocobo can walk through.

It sounds likeTippy has a slow metabolism. Just like humans, cats each have different genes. What you can do is encourage her to play, but you can't force her. See what she likes.. feathers, catnip, string, , etc. She'll have a preference. Now, the key is to get her on a diet food. The best kind you can get is Hills Science Diet R/D. This is pretty expensive though, but my cat lost weight while on it. Also, I only feed my cats 1/4 cup of food twice a day. I also have to separate them when they eat because the fat one will gobble his down and eat the other cat's food. Just keep in mind that for a cat to lose a pound, it takes significantly longer than it does a human. So you will not notice much at all when you first put her on the diet.

I had to remove some drywall and insulation from my basement wall.?

I removed all the insulation up to the ceiling but only the bottom four feet of drywall, which means there is four feet of drywall towards the ceiling that is still in tact. Will I be able to slide batts of insulation up behind those closed four feet between the studs, or do I have to rip out the entire wall (which I would rather not do) in order to get the batts up there? If I try this, are there any suggestions on how best to do it?

OK, so, i've had this friend and he and i have been friends for YEARS! And this year we've hung out at lunch EVERY single day almost. Or a Cinemark movie theater? If you work at Cinemark, you and a friend get in free to any movie, and you get free popcorn and drink. Can a custodial parent veto a court ordered visitation schedule of her own accord?

My ex wife challenged me today when I was picking up our children for my visitation. I had been gone for about a year since seeing my children and brought my mother along so the children would see a familiar face. In just the last few visits it seems as though I never left and my kids are having a great time with me. I had my day in California Court a few weeks ago and asked the courts to define "reasonable visitation" (btw- if you are going through this, NEVER agree to reasonable visitation without definition). It leaves the sole decision of visitation to the mothers discretion. Anyway, I went to pick up my children today and the court order clearly states that I have to be present for pick ups and drop offs. I did not bring my mother this time and an explosion of animosity from my ex wife ensued. She then skulked about and said there was nothing she could do about it right now but a flood of sms text was soon to come. Now she says that visitation begins and ends at pick up and drop off and I need to have my mother present even though the order does not specifically say this. Can she veto the courts decision and what action should I take if she does? This woman has endless animosity towards me and I now see that her prior argument of "in the kids best interest" is false and anything she can do to hurt me is what really counts.
