Do you think 8 is to old for playmobil and fireman sam?

Playmobil is marketed at being suitable for 4+, and even then I personally would only get it for a mature 4 year old. I loved Playmobil when I was a child and played with it until I was about 12 (I think I only stopped playing with toys because I thought I was too old, not because I wanted to!) A lot of the sets I think are best for children over about 8 anyway. I mean, there is an Egyptian pyramid, and the Roman Colosseum, which are best for older children, when they are interested in, and understand, different periods in History. As for Fireman Sam, if he's interested in it, and you think he would play with it, then I would say go for it. When I was about 18 my dad bought me a Furby, and I was definitely over the recommended age! Lol. 10 years later and I still have it!
