What am I allowed to bring to jury duty?
I received a summons letter for jury duty. I'm jurer number 36 and I have to call the night before february 14th to see if I get in. Will I have a good chance since I have a low number? Anyways, I want to know if I'm allowed to bring a notebook and a pen into the courtroom if it comes down to it that I have to go. I lose focus a lot and really easily, and I like to write songs and raps, this may seem ridiculous, but it would help me take notes, so in case I'm in the room with the other people, and I have to give my input, I'll have something to say since I probably won't remember just by listening? Also, am I allowed to bring cigarettes and a lighter or matches into the courthouse, or should I just leave those in the car because I don't know if they will give breaks or not. I'm interested and looking forward to it if I do get called, but I don't want to bring something I'm not supposed to and look stupid lol. Do I need to bring lunch, and will I be able to carry any of the items in the trial room, or do you put your belongings somewhere else? Any information on what I can bring will be helpful. Also, if my cell phone is on silent will it be rude if I'm on it, it would just be for taking notes on notepad or writing lyrics? Any information will be helpful. Thanks.
